Accessing and Requesting Books & Interlibrary Loan
At this time and in accordance with the main University Libraries policy, the Law Library stacks will be closed and books and other materials should not be accessed directly by students. If you need a book from the Law Library, please place a hold on the item through the Law Library Catalog or contact firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of the Law Library staff will assist you.
Contactless Pick-up for Library Materials
You may request to have items arrive at the Penn State Law Library via the library catalog using the I Want It button. Pickup at the PSU Law library location will begin Wednesday, August 19th.
Once materials from outside of the Law Library can be picked up at our library in the Katz Building, or if you are requesting materials locating in the Law Library, contactless pick up will be available. When your books or other materials arrive, a member of the Law Library staff will check them out to you and you'll receive an email stating that your materials are at the Law Library. When you receive this email, please make a reservation for the day that you would like to pick up your materials by clicking here. Materials will be placed in a bag with the patron's name at the circulation desk on the main floor of the Law Library between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM each day. If you cannot come during those hours, please email email@example.com and we will help arrange for an alternative time.
If you would like to borrow materials located in the Law Library or if you are not sure where your materials are located, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help you determine where the materials are located and the correct pick-up location.
Circulation of Penn State physical materials:
Various collections throughout the Penn State Libraries' system, including the collection at the Penn State Law Library, are now available. Currently the only available location to pick up material at University Park is Pattee/Paterno. Pick up at the Penn State Law Library will be available starting Wednesday, August 19th.

The is a book drop located outside the main doors of the Law Library in the Katz Building. Please return all books to the book drop at the Law Library. Please do not leave books or other library materials at the Circulation desk or anywhere else in the library.
All due dates on currently checked out items has been extended to October 2, 2020. Interlibrary Loan requests for material (articles and book scans) from other academic research libraries will be processed but will remain dependent on the ability of other libraries to fill them. We strongly encourage you to contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can explore electronic options for you.
