FDA Food Safety Modernization Act

Rules

Pursuant to the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was tasked with promulgating final rules to overhaul food safety regulations in the United States.  FDA has finalized seven substantive final rules as well as several relevant final rules amending or modernizing existing regulations.  Additionally, pursuant to FSMA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has promulgated a final rule extending whistleblower protections to employees who report FSMA violations.

The following material represents a collection of the final rules and proposed rules relating to FSMA.  While the Center for Agricultural and Shale Law makes every effort to update and provide current resources, be aware that regulatory language is subject to change.  As a result, the Center offers no warranty or other guarantee regarding the timeliness or accuracy of the information presented.
