Eminent Domain Resources

Generally, when a pipeline is planned for construction across private property, the oil or gas company will negotiate with the landowner to obtain an easement. However, sometimes negotiations will fail and the company may attempt to obtain rights to the land by using the doctrine of eminent domain.
