Library Research Assistants
The law library maintains a student Research Assistant pool. Research Assistants are available to assist faculty members with discrete research projects such as bluebooking, updating books and articles, compiling bibliographies, surveys of law, conducting research, and more. To request research assistance, please contact Rebecca Mattson, Head of Faculty and Research Services.
Research Assistant Training
This program pairs summer faculty research assistants with a law librarian who serves as a point of contact for research questions. Research assistants are also provided with an overview of library databases and print materials that are particularly relevant to the research topics. Research assistants are required to register for the program in advance; applications are sent out electronically during the Spring semester. For training throughout the year, please contact Rebecca Mattson.
Reference Services
Each of the librarians of the H. Laddie Montague, Jr., Law Library has a unique legal background. While you should feel free to speak with any of the librarians about your issue, you may be referred to another librarian who may have more expertise in your particular field.
